Salut à tous,

Voilà que l’été touche à sa fin et il a été bien spécial pour tout le monde…
En effet la covid-19 a bien changé nos plans et notre quotidien.

Depuis la fin du confinement à la mi-mai nous avons profité de quelques belles journées de ski dans la Saulire à Courchevel. Ensuite 11 semaines de preparation physique se sont enchaînées.
J’ai pu prendre 10 jours de vacances au Portugal début aout avant de rechausser les skis aux 2 Alpes.
Nous voila donc en septembre où nous avons posé nos quartiers dans le petite village Suisse de Saas Fee de façon à être flexibles avec la météo.

Aujourd’hui nous n’avons pas encore le calendrier définitif de cet hiver mais nous savons que nous pousserons le premier portillon à Solden le 18 Octobre prochain. Malheureusement on sait également que nous ne ferons pas le voyage pour les Etats-Unis cette année…

D’ici à la fin octobre et j’espère le début d’une saison pleine je vous souhaite une bonne fin d’été et soyez prudents!

Hi all,
Summer is coming to an end and it has been very special for everyone … Indeed, covid-19 has changed our plans and our daily lives. Since the end of confinement in mid-May, we have enjoyed a few beautiful days of skiing in La Saulire in Courchevel. Then 11 weeks of physical preparation followed. I was able to take 10 days of vacation in Portugal at the beginning of August before putting on my skis in Les 2 Alpes. So here we are in September where we set up our quarters in the small Swiss village of Saas Fee so as to be flexible with the weather. Today we do not yet have the final calendar for this winter but we know that we will push the first gate in Solden on October 18th. Unfortunately we also know that we will not be making the trip to the United States this year … By the end of October and I hope the start of a full season, I wish you a good end of summer and becareful!

Strange end of season...

Bonjour à tous,

Voilà cette saison touche à sa fin et d’une bien drôle de manière…
Cette année le monde fait face à une épidémie qui demande que le sport passe en second plan.
De par cette situation exceptionnelle nous devons clôturer l’hiver de façon très anticipée.
Ma saison s’est terminée à Kvitfell le 7 mars.
Je suis déçu de ne pas avoir pu me battre jusqu’à la fin pour le classement général et celui du géant.
Cependant je comprends la décision de la FIS mais je regrette que celle-ci n’ait pas été anticipée de façon à rendre la situation plus « juste » sportivement.
Aujourd’hui je tire un bilan tout de même positif avec 6 victoires j’égale ma saison 2016 qui était ma plus victorieuse.
Cette année j’ai aussi beaucoup appris et grandis. Le travail autour de moi et avec mon équipe a été parfait!

Maintenant il faut encore digérer un peu cette fin de saison écourtée et être vigilants au vue de la situation actuelle en Europe et dans le monde entiers.
Prenez soin de vous et de vos proches, respectez les consignes et j’espère que la situation redeviendra vite à la normale.

Good morning to you all,

This season is coming to an end and in a strange way…
This year the world is facing an epidemic that requires sport to take a back seat.
Due to this exceptional situation we must close the winter in advance.
My season ended in Kvitfell on March 7th.
I am disappointed that I was not able to fight until the end for the Overall classification and for the giant slalom.
However I understand the decision of the FIS but I regret that it was not anticipated in order to make the situation more « fair » sportively.
Today I still get a positive result with 6 victories, I equal my 2016 season which was my most victorious one.
This year I also learned a lot and grew up. The work around me and with my team was perfect!

Now i must still digest this shortened end of the season and be vigilant in view of the current situation in Europe and throughout the world.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones, follow the instructions, and I hope that the situation will soon return to normal.
